The brace sandwiches between the factory mount and the plastic radiator shroud and pulls up on it slightly to relieve tension on the mounting hole ears. We supply you with new rubber grommets with a larger grip range to allow for the shroud and the 1 8" 4130 to both fit inside of it. The
