The first 40 pedals were introduced at the Chicago ToneFest in 2006, where the model quickly gained attention among players looking for a highly dynamic distortion pedal. The Model R was originally conceived as a cross between the Emerald Green Distortion Machine (EGDM) and the Little Green Wonder (LGW). In many ways it can be seen as a distortion version of the
