From a chateau near Orleans, France, we found this sat beneath a huge shuttered window. It has a hinged top, and is ornately decorated with gilded acanthus leaves. A winged cherub sits front and centre, and two floral motifs adorn each end. Super heavy, this is a solid, well made piece
