Keokuk is a type of Burlington chert and was widely used in the making of stone tools by early Americans and still a favorite of many knappers today

This is a modern stone blade / spear point arrowhead that was knapped by yours truly from heat treated Novaculite chert

The top side is covered with a thick domed lether pad that now comes with an even more domed top

These are heat treated Palm wood preforms and are 5/16 to 3/8" thick and ready to knapp

Mahogany Obsidian comes from several places in the world but this particular piece came from Glass Buttes Oregon. Obsidian was widely used by ancient people and was almost exclusively used by some South American tribes. It measures 10 1 2" in length and is 2 1 4" wide.
