I think the Monster is well-supported enough in this set that it is probably worth a first pick in some weaker packs

Youre not going to cast this for the native cost but since the Dragon comes with delve, you are able to exile away cards to grow the creature as part of that cost

Cards in mint condition, which today would be graded PSA 9 or 10, could be found for between 300 and 500 dollars -- a considerable price for the time but laughable compared to future highs

If we had Craterhoof in Standard and could mill it with Harald Unites the Elves to bring back with this, that might be interesting
