I do really like that he is an Elf as it makes Opposition Elves a more tempting splash and adds another dimension to the deck

Keep in mind though that it requires black creatures to make extra mana, so if you arent playing mostly black creatures, I wouldnt recommend it

If the card chosen as the target of the last ability is an illegal target as the ability tries to resolve, most likely because it left the graveyard some other way, the ability will fail to resolve and none of its effects will happen

You can even select which permanent types to exile if you want to preserve part of your board

Of course, this card isnt worded like a traditional Magic card, but if youre looking to run the card in a Commander setting, its not too difficult to improvise
