The reason being with your higher number of threats, ramp and permanents than your average control deck you neither have the space in your deck nor the desire to hold back mana for counter magic when you could be furthering your position
Dustin fits in well with other Stranger Things cards that produce token artifacts, like Chief Jim Hopper or Will the Wise, as he can tap to pay that token's mana cost all by himself
Getting to dig for more permanents when it dies or getting to buff the team is an excellent tradeoff for losing a 5/4 with flying and vigilance
Overall, the ability to turn an expandable creature into more cards in our hand is what puts these cards on my list
Its not exactly aimed at selling cards, but thats an option
