With Ivy, you generally build it as a very different Voltron-style deck, casting a bunch of enchantments and single-target spells and turning them into two-for-ones by making sure you target someone other than Ivy
(2024-04-12) You cant cast a plotted card on the same turn it became plotted
As with much of my list, even for a virtual vanilla creatureI will remind you that enters the battlefield triggers were not actually introduced to Magic until Mirage being close to or on curve for their size is enough for them to stand out
Conversely, bans negatively impact demand by reducing interest in those cards
Cards like Dragon Tempest, Blood-Chin Fanatic and Boltwing Marauder too often hinge on the emergence of a specific linear deck, whereas flexible and powerful cards like Snapcaster Mage and Abrupt Decay offer up multi-format appeal that can be tucked into a myriad of decks
If all the other decks are making 1/1 mana elves or 2/1 beaters then doing either of those things is tempo neutral, making a 2/3 is tempo positive, while doing nothing is very tempo negative
