In many peoples eyes, this red creature invalidated creature-based decks, being able to pick off a full board relatively easily, while leaving behind a 3/3 double striker to quickly end the game with yourself
Neyith of the Dire Hunt would like this quite a bit, I'm sure
Even if Blightsteel Colossus is countered or would be put into the graveyard through other means, it still gets shuffled back into your deck, making it an unstoppable force that can always come back again
