Ive found that the first copy of Copy Artifact is better than the fourth Black Vise, because it simply has more utility early in the game, and once you are in the middle or late game, it is likely to come down as a Black Vise anyway
Ideal cases for wildcards are effects with a particular cost and effect, linked abilities, or effects that interact with particular zones in a certain order
However, in such a complex TCG, things are rarely simple
Since Boiling Rock Rioter's activated ability doesn't have a tap symbol in its cost, you can tap a creature (including Boiling Rock Rioter itself) that hasn't been under your control since your most recent turn began to pay the cost
