In limited, there was a splice deck that used [mtg_card]Dampen Thought[/mtg_card] to win the game, but the problem was there when you played them in constructed: outside of an infinite loop that won the game through an enormous mana engine, Splice made you pay too much for not enough

There will be, of course, several decks that will play both cards, but there's really no question which one should actually be on top here
For every Reserved List staple clogging up Commander wish lists, there is a legal, reprinted, budget-friendly card doing a version of the same job
Structure decks usually have good cards that work together
The cards contained within have now been reprinted several times and very few of them can be used at the competitive level
