Opening up access to blue lets you use Sakashima of a Thousand Faces to quadruple your tokens by copying your commander, top notch card draw, and powerhouse spells like Cyclonic Rift to clear the path for your token army
Ninjas have a tendency to sneak in a point of damage and if you have one of these cards that ping each opponent, you rake in the cards: Ill-Gotten Inheritance, Whispering Snitch, and Creeping Bloodsucker
There are plenty of Rat, Insect (hello Scute SwarmScute Swarm), and Spider decks running around out there that will be excited to get their hands on this card
Getting some free Treasure is nice, and goad has some interesting applications in a two-player format like this
You can then take a land from your hand and put it into play
Despite looking like a U/W deck that splashed only the tiniest bit of the other colors, The Deck would reinvent itself after sideboarding, turning into a Blood Moon deck despite having just seven basic lands, itself (and this was obviously long before fetchlands)
