Doubling your energy is a huge deal when you have a Commander and dozens of other cards that can generate energy, and turning that energy into huge creature tokens is a great way to take over games
As long as it's your turn, you may activate equip abilities any time you could cast an instant
Chimil, the Inner Sun ($21.22) Spending 6 mana to make your spells uncounterable is a bit expensive, but at least being a colorless artifact allows Chimil, The Inner Sun to be in any color of deck aside from Green
When a Job Select item is played, it spawns a 1/1 Hero Token and the item equips itself to it, usually providing a stat buff and a special ability
While I'd like the game to be as accessible as possible, even on a tournament level, you shouldn't be able to build a $2,000 deck with fake cards and then expect Wizards to offer you prize money for playing its game
