That mana can be paid with the same land you sacrifice making the ability very easy to swallow

Thats all well and good, but how do we actually build the deck

Its prowl cost gives you an extra turn spell, and these three can all be brought to the top of your deck with Faerie Harbinger (as expensive as the Harbinger is)

If you cant swing for 3, you can tap, exile a trio of cards to cause a foe to lose 3 life, and continue as long as you have fuel in the graveyard
