Uniquely combines traditional Japanese instrumentation with Western jazz influences. Minoru Muraoka plays shakuhachi a traditional bamboo Japanese flute joined by his band members accompanying him on the koto (strings) and tsutsumi (drum) amongst others, to create their Shakuhachi Jazz sound.
