After an overnight snowfall and freezing rain grip this prairie landscape

It wasn't long before I reached the area of wildflowers I wanted to photograph

focused and composed the scene in front of me and pressed the shutter release button a few times

Walking the path just past the wildflowers I photographed

I stopped by the bridge that crosses over the South Fork Kishwaukee River and photographed the bridge during the blue hour as I had plenty of time to reach the lake before the sun would rise
