INDIAN TEAK VASE from the 1960sThis antique Indian vessel is made teakwood and was commonly used as an everyday object, most notably to measure grain. It is marked with three sets of three lines lightly etched into the wood, just below the rim, around the central area, and closer to the bottom. Hand carved, the chipping of the wood creates an organic curvature, sloping inwards towards the top of the vessel, the base consisting a slightly convex bend. *Our pieces at Studio Zagara
