Each band is approximately 1 mm wide. I use mostly argentium silver (93%) in my jewelry which is highly tarnish resistant giving you a virtually tarnsh resistant piece of jewelry!! It tends to be slightly higher in price than traditional sterling but well worth it! Some of the copper alloy in the sterling silver is replaced with germanium, giving it's tarnish resistance.
