The handle tapers towards the blade with some thickness left in the rear and palm for a multitude of comfortable grips

Those differences are mainly showcased in the contouring of the handle and the "beak" pommel

Damascus Puukko (Red Handle) camping but I like the designThis is one of my variations on the traditional Puukko design. The blade is twisted Damascus (1084 15N20) with 48 layers made in house. It has a flat grind up to a robust spine with a small choil leading into the razor sharp secondary bevel. The fittings are aluminum bronze with a red dyed, stabilized curly birch handle. To round out the package, this knife has a traditional, handmade Puukko sheath with a wooden insert, known as a "lesta." Overall
