This fully caged (or full frame) reel, was designed to be used with single hand fly rods, Switch rods, and two handed Spey rods. Improving on structural power & stability, a fully caged frame also eliminates thin running line, and monofilament line, from getting pulled in and wrapped around the main shaft. The CAGE has a fully sealed, internal system.
