While much of the Langhe built its reputation on Barolo and Barbaresco, Dogliani has quietly remained one of the purest expressions of Dolcetto in Piedmont. The vineyards here sit on compact clay and limestone soils that tend to give the wines a little more structure and depth than Dolcetto grown elsewhere in the region.
