All the legends in these decks have a unified goal of working together within their decks theme and its fun building cards like this to have that creative team synergy, whether thats sayinteracting with counters in Final Fantasy X or playing with the graveyard in Final Fantasy VI
It doesnt take that long to close a game, so it might not make the game about a lot of combat steps, but its a great blocker and an attacking threat thats worth protecting with counterspells, which is a line that youll often have to cross to get blue players interested in this sort of thing

If you can threaten to sacrifice something, it makes that an even less attractive option, and even if you can't, your foes will still fear losing them in a suicidal attack, or even just being bludgeoned by their own pieces
