It is almost guaranteed that someone is going to have some sort of wildly powerful card put into play, but once that happens you can create a new target for the other two opponents to single out
Forgotten Ancient appears in virtually every +1/+1 counter deck for good reason: It goes insanely hard with any counter doubler and produces a stream of counters for your other creatures
Sometimes thats the kind of deck you need to play at the end of a tough week
