Outside of some very specific decks, I dont think this will find much play for its specific ability, though having a hard to get rid of permanent with flying is nothing to forget about

Much like Archivist of Oghma, this card wont stop your opponents, but it can help you keep up with them

Like so many of the best Magic cards they are hard to say much about because they are so simple, they have little text and just get a job done at a good price

Theres also a sick Mardu build that uses Weaponize the Monsters, Offsprings Revenge, Whisper Squad, and/or Generals Enforcer to create an unending wall of creatures

In the token themed decks you want as much pump as you can get your hands on and not just the premium stuff

So, it wasn't long until designers started looking for more targeted (pun intended) approaches to the challenge
