Long-game card-drawing advantage aside, Kefnet comes down early and, if set up properly, can deter people from attacking you for a good chunk of the game
This lets you essentially trade in cards in your hand for free spells from the top of an opponents deck, leading to huge swings when you consider the massive creatures that often see play in the format
It's also a severely pushed Leyline of the Void, so if you were interested in that effect outside of Enchantress then you just got a much better version that you can crack at any time to cast an exiled card -- FOR FREE, I might add
