Anything more than that is just excessive at that point, and can quickly spiral out of control
I don't think I really understood what made a good trading card game then as well as I do now
All of those cards are either iconic (such as Ravenous Rats and Coercion) or powerful, (such as Goblin Matron) or play very well, like Sylvan Basilisk which kills immediately upon being blocked, not when damage is dealt or at the end of combat - which makes it the best Basilisk ever printed
Essentially, a deck that can get multiple lands out per turn, cast giant creatures early, and mash opponents to death using those giant creatures along with some trample sprinkled in here and there
This can be huge for ending a game, since you can do it at instant speed post-blocks, or just for the synergies that I listed above
