If I have to choose which version of this story is superior, then the answer is simply the Japanese Pyramid of Light TV special, as while the extra scenes don't really amount to that much in the grand scheme of things, they do still honestly help with the overall flow of the story to an extent, allowing certain moments to breathe a bit more, and while I do enjoy the English voice cast there's no doubt that the English script isn't as strong (the quipping & snark does get tiring, honestly), while the English musical score just doesn't hold up as well as the Japanese score
