It was chosen by city wide vote in 2023. The First Light flag represents our land, our people, our hopes, and our dreams. The six pointed star symbolizes the Six Nations of the Haudenosaunee from east to west the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Tuscarora and Seneca. It also represents the six historical names
