A diagonal band of hand engraved patterns, and three fan shapes, are outlined by raised rose gold over silver. Beneath, flowers and foliage are visited by a butterfly, symbolic of the daylight hours. The locket is sterling silver with touches of rose gold over silver. Only the Victorians could evoke such poetry within jewelry.
