This particular variety is variegated, and the contrast between the leaves and flowers is striking. From summer until frost, it produces an abundance of red flowers that just drive the hummingbirds crazy. It dies back to the ground in winter, but makes up for it when it grows to a 3 to 5 foot wide bush during summer. It is somewhat
