I wanted the figure to be small within the image, initially making her appear vulnerable, the dark block of the corner digging into her bare thigh. Its uncomfortable. Yet, look closer, and she challenges the viewer with her fierce gaze, making them feel uncomfortable for looking at her even though she is, supposedly, in a public space on the corner. Linocut
