It is woven in the traditional Changthang style, on a portable backstrap loom characteristic for the nomadic communities. This type of carpet is called "Pherri" and traditionally used as a blanket. It is a flat weave and approximately 7mm thick. The carpet consists of 6 panels. After weaving, they are stitched together. The yarn is a blend of different
